Monday, May 28 - New Hamburg Live! Art Show in multiple venues -- continues through June 3; see times on art tour guide; free admission. Venues include New Hamburg Public Library, TD Canada Trust, My Place Restaurant, The Waterlot, Sight & Sound Studio, Meme's Café, Upper Case Books, Kathie Jordan Design, Old Country Restaurant, Puddicombe House, and Jake & Humphrey's.

Monday, May 28 - Barry McGregor's Tales of the Theatre Part II, 7:30 p.m., St. George's Anglican Church; $20 includes HST.

Tuesday, May 29 - The Canadian Brass, Steinnmann Mennonite Church, 7:30 p.m.; $25 includes HST.

Wednesday, May 30 - New Hamburg Live! Festival Gala, New Hamburg Community Centre, with the Red Peppers Dixieland Jazz Band; official opening of Art Show; art show opens at 6:30 p.m.; Gala, 7 p.m.; $20 includes HST.

Thursday, May 31 - Handel's "Alcina" performed by Essential Opera, with Chamber Orchestra, Steinmann Mennonite Church, 7:30 p.m.; $20 includes HST.

Friday, June 1 - Pure Sunshine, in the Company of Friends. The Factory Arts String Quartet explores some of the fantastic music written for the combination of 2 violins, viola and cello.  In this concert, the group will perform the decidedly sunny quartet by Mendelssohn, Op. 44, No. 1.  This effervescent work is paired with the Three Divertimenti by Benjamin Britten.  Written early in his career, each movement is a musical portrait of one of Britten's friends from his school days. Although the two pieces on the program differ in the harmonic language they use, you will hear that both are joyous compositions of a very carefree nature, 1 p.m.; St. George's Anglican Church. $15 includes HST.

Friday, June 1 - John McDermott in concert with the John McDermott Trio, Steinmann Mennonite Church Hall, 7:30 p.m.; $25 includes HST.

Saturday, June 2 - "The River Rolls" a folk-fusion song cycle, 10:30 a.m., St. George's Anglican Church; $15 includes HST.

Saturday, June 2 - Storytelling workshop, 12 noon - 1:30 p.m, Upper Case Books; $15 includes HST. Nationally acclaimed storyteller Mary-Eileen McClear will perform excerpts from The /Story/ in History, her one-woman show of stories from the War of 1812, and discuss how you, too, can create stories from bits of national, local, or family history.

Saturday, June 2 - Choral workshop, 1:30 p.m., St. George's Anglican Church; $20 includes HST.

Saturday, June 2 - Peterborough Pop Ensemble in concert, with the New Hamburg Live! Mass Choir, Steinmann Mennonite Church, 7:30 p.m.; $20 includes HST.

Sunday, June 3 - Gospel Concert with Denise Pelley, Nick Settimi, Vicki St. Pierre, Tom Cummings, the Mike Erb Band and special guests, Steinmann Mennonite Church, 3 p.m.; $15 includes HST.
