Tickets on sale for five-day Festival of the Arts

Tickets are now on sale for the first annual New Hamburg Live! Festival of the Arts. The Festival, which includes more than 10 events, runs from May 20-24, 2009.

Ticket prices for the main events range from $10 to $20, but those attending the Festival can save 25% on all tickets by purchasing the New Hamburg Live! Festival of the Arts Passport, for $10.

Festival events including the opening "The Lights of Broadway" Gala, May 20; Juno-award winner David Francey in concert, May 21; "The Best of Opera" with Toronto's Concert Opera Group, May 22; "Music and Madness" with Mary Lou Fallis and Barry MacGregor, May 23; and a bluegrass/ choral concert with legendary gospel and bluegrass musician Ken Whiteley and Vicki St. Pierre, May 24. Whiteley and St. Pierre are also leading a choral workshop on Saturday morning, May 23.

Other events include an Art Show, throughout the Festival; two literary events; and a Blues youth concert.
